Referrals and Fees

Referrals may be made by simply calling the clinic at (604) 597-0363 and leaving a message in the main voice-mailbox.  A doctor's referral is not necessary.

The B.C. Psychological Association's recommended fee is $160 per hour.  However, at the Rainbow Clinic, fees can be negotiated on individual basis with the psychologist.

Fees for psychological services are not covered by the basic medical plan. The good news is that most extended health plans cover psychological services. It is a good idea to check your extended health plan before your first appointment with a psychologist. A typical plan provides $500 of psychological services for each family member every year. If you are referred by agencies such as ICBC or WCB or Victims Compensation Program, these agencies typically cover the fees.  Payment can also be made directly to the psychologist in the form of cash or cheque.
